Ali Campbell
Ali is 1 of 3 founding Campbell brothers of the BMC Cup and can usually be seen running around during the events trying to keep things moving. Ali had a successful playing career, competing for both GB and Scotland senior men, winning bronze in the Commonwealth Championships for Scotland in 2014. After Brian’s passing, Ali took over the mantle and followed in his fathers footsteps, becoming heavily involved in the coaching and development of junior boys in Scotland for the last decade.
On top of coaching, Ali helps run various initiatives in Scotland and puts in countless hours behind the scenes to ensure these run effectively to give players opportunities that Brian was able to give him.

Chris Campbell
Chris is the 2nd founding brother of the BMC Cup and helps with the running of things behind the scenes as well as carrying out various tasks during the tournaments. Chris has also played water polo at the highest level for GB Juniors and for Scotland, winning bronze in the 2014 Commonwealth Championships alongside Ali and his twin brother Darren. In 2016 he was named the Scottish Senior Player of the Year and also won the Junior British Cup in 2008 alongside Darren, with Brian as the coach.
Chris’s best memory of Brian was during the Junior Scottish Cup final one year when he and his brother were both playing. After a goal, Brian wanted to make a substitution so he started shouting “Darren get in the water, Darren get in” to which a very confused Chris sitting on the bench replied “I’m Chris, Darren is in the pool already!”

Darren Campbell
Darren makes up the 3rd founding brother and also helps with the running of the BMC Cup. Like Chris, he competed for GB and Scottish Juniors, as well as completing the trio of Campbell brothers that won bronze at the 2014 Commonwealth Championships. In addition, he was part of the Junior British Cup winning Dunfermline team in 2008 alongside Chris and Brian as coach. In fact, he recalls one of his best memories of Brian from during this game where Dunfermline regained possession of the ball with 0.4 seconds remaining and Brian called a time out. Brian then started giving out instructions to which Darren said “dad we’ve won it!” However Brian being Brian then replied “no we have not won it, shut up” because he didn’t realise how long there was actually left on the clock!

Keith Bayne
Keith is the newest member of the BMC Cup team, joining in 2025 to help with a lot of the behind the scenes admin that is vital to ensuring our events run successfully. Keith does have some history in the BMC Cup as he became the 1st coach to win our U14 Autumn Festival event with Dunfermline in 2024! His son, Aaron, was also the goal keeper for Dunfermline. What is most impressive about this achievement is that it was Keith’s first time coaching a team in a tournament and is a true testament to our motto of giving people opportunities in and out of the water.

Kimberley Southworth
Kim is our social media manager and is the main creator behind most of the content you see on our Facebook and Instagram pages. Her fun and creative mind helps us bring as much of the BMC Cup to life online as we can. You will most likely find her on the balcony watching games with her hand held fan in 1 hand and her phone in the other during the BMC Cup!

Nathan Southworth
Nathan is the main man behind our live stream, which is evolving and (hopefully) improving each year. Nathan gives up his time to ensure the live stream captures every thrilling moment of the action and helps to bring the BMC Cup to people who aren’t able to attend the events in person.

Paul Metcalfe
Paul has been with us since the very start, providing commentary at our first BMC Cup in 2021 and has since gone on to become ‘The voice of the BMC Cup’. Paul really brings our events to life with his use of music and excellent commentary during the games both in the pool and on our live streams. Paul also regularly referees at the highest level in Britain and uses this expertise to educate our newer viewers on some of the rules during the games, which we know can be confusing at times! Paul gives up his weekends to travel up from Milton Keynes to help at the BMC Cup and we are incredibly grateful for his ongoing support.
